‘Is Sunday Riley worth the hype’, you ask? I’ve asked myself the same question for a few months now but after hearing nothing but great things from multiple sources I was excited to be giving it a go myself. After trying three products from the range I’ve concluded that Sunday Riley skincare is an alien-like masterpiece of a portfolio from another world. With unusual formulas that range in texture, colour and scents, your skincare routine will truly become somewhat of an extra-terrestrial experience.
It’s been five adventurous months of wearing my curls (haven’t straightened my hair once since February). If you want the honest truth, I still don’t like wearing my hair like this but I’m trying my best! The reality is that I don’t feel as pretty with my natural hair.
People are often stunned when I say this. “How can you not love having curly hair?”, or “Women pay good money to have curls like your” are things I hear often…
Writing this note from the sunny Greek Island of Corfu! Before the honeymoon feeling goes away and whilst I have enough time in the day…just wanted to share a few products that came with me on holiday and made a world of difference to my beauty routine.
When treating yourself to sun, sea and sand a luxurious hotel, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of having indulgent beauty products to compliment the luscious summer nights.
I can now absolutely see what all the fuss is about with this cult product. Bursting with Vitamin E this nourishing and hydrating multi-purpose oil is the perfect summer holiday moisturiser. Not only is it great for glowing skin, it works so well as a hair serum too! I’ve been drenching my hair in the stuff. THE SCENT is absolutely delicious, featuring notes of sweet almond and hazelnut. You could double this up as a massage oil 😉
Forever a firm favourite. Loaded with shea butter and honey it’s nourishing and smells good enough to eat . The best thing about this lip balm is that the hydration lasts for hours unlike most of my balms…
You can pick up both the oil and the lip balm for £35 instead of £42 if you grab it here.
Smells exactly like summer holiday in bottle. Think Tropical fruits and vanilla. You will get a gorgeous glow with this oil but BE WARNED, you’ll need to apply generously and regularly if in direct and strong sun. I burnt my belly!
Look no further for a deep, rich bronze. With my tan I’ve felt my Hoola bronzer was a little flat but this genourous palette offers a warm glow and the highlight is out of this world. Think natural, subtle but ‘lit-from-within’ light on your cheeks.
I’m so lazy with eye make up so this all-over shadow is easy to blend with your finger and still has a professional looking finish. Go for this shade or the rose gold if you have fair skin.
I started layering this on my skin on holiday but now can’t help but add a few drops to my moisturiser during the day. Offering a shimmer and sheen to the skin that’s subtle but catches the light perfectly. Bronzed goddess must-have.
With notes of white leather and you guessed it, mimosa, this perfume as fast become my summer favourite. It pains me a little to use it as I only have a 30ml and I want to make this baby last the season. I’ve had SO many compliments wearing it with comments like ‘you smell like sun lotion’ I love it. Despite there not being this note in the fragrance, you really can smell the coconut!
Obviously a new, glowing tan means you need to up your make up game, amirite? That being said, it does make it easy to have your make up look lush when you’re glowing…
Following two days of intense (but safe) tanning, I pulled out a few new products to give me a quick and easy bronzed look for the evenings. I won’t list everything I used but here are the core products to get the look.
YSL Beauty – All in One Glow Foundation
I mean it says it all. Great coverage with a luminous finish and it’s not cakey. Think of this as a pumped up, tinted moisturiser for an absolutely radiant base. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and received so many compliments so it was the obvious choice for this look!
Lancome – Bronze and Glow Palette
New for 2018, this palette features a myriad of shades to give a deep, bronze tan to your face (if like me you’ve been wearing SPF 50 layered up 100x to avoid premature ageing). The highlight in this palette is out of this world. I first saw it on a friend and quickly interrogated her for the answer to her ‘lit from within’ skin.
Charlotte Tilbury – Eyes to Mesmerise in Star Gold
I’m so lazy with eye make up but this does the job quickly and will add to and enhance the golden glow. Apply with a loose, blending brush for a feathered and light application or apply with your finger for a ‘wet-lid’ look.
Charlotte Tilbury – Lipgloss in Seduction
A creamy, pink-nude lipgloss to make your lips look fuller and compliment the rest of the golden tones.
Hope you like! x
I also used:
- Lancome Brow Densify (THIS IS DOPE)
- Benefit BadGal Bang Mascara (layered up for a smokey eye look)
- Tarte Aquacealer in Light Medium
- Charlotte Tilbury Blush in Climax
- YSL Liquid Eyeliner
