A fast-foodie post: A few of my favourite eats in London

Despite the endless number of choices, finding food in London can be such a feat some times. I know my foodie friends will probably cringe when they see my chain picks in this post but let me preface this by saying this isn’t a round-up of the best places to eat in the city.

It’s more a guide to the places I’ll pop in to when looking for food on the go on a work day. I will say that the coffee shop I mention is probably my favourite in the city for hot chocolate – and I’ve tried a LOT of hot chocolate!

Read on to find out my favourites…

For Lunch

Leon is pretty much my go-to for a quick, well-balanced lunch. You’ll find most of their options give you an offering of protein, slow-release carb, sometimes accompanied with a raw salad. I usually go for the sweet potato falafel wrap – it’s easy to eat on the go and is all kinds of delicious. Price wise I will say Leon isn’t somewhere I’d go everyday for lunch – by the time I’m done adding my halloumi it can be an £8 wrap. Not that that’s particularly going to break the bank but it does add up!

For Dinner

On the outside Pizza Pilgrims doesn’t look like anything special. Not the it’s hideous or anything but it just doesn’t look as inviting as the rest of the scrumptious gastro-offerings in Kingly Court. That being said – this is quite the hidden gem of stone-oven pizza places.

Sara (my sister) and I ordered a pizza and a few apps to munch on and left the joint STUFFED. The arancini comes highly recommended 😉

For hot chocolate

I started going to Mozzino Espresso Bar out of convenience really – it was right outside the Benefit Boutique and I’d often pop up there for my meetings. A warm and welcoming vibe – the staff are super nice and have managed to create a little community of coffee-goers amidst the hustle and bustle of Soho.

They were the first place to offer me up a London Fog outside of Canada! Obviously this keept me coming back for more. It was wasn’t until Sara met me after work and ordered the hot chocolate that I came to realise it was the best I’d had (cue Drake music). Choose from milk or dark chocolate – I always go for milk and ask for extra sprinkles.
