Beauty Sleep: Night time skincare

{The ones I go to bed with}

I’m having a love affair and every night it’s the same thing. Every night I get excited to pull out my Clarisonic (more to come on that) and every night I use my delicious Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil to remove my makeup (YES! With the Clarisonic) to prep my face for the feast it’s about to have. Given that our skin is at it’s thirstiest between 11pm-2am, I’m sure to drench it in the goodness it deserves. I’m not talking sangrias here ladies. These are the ones that I go to bed with.

For. Real. This eye cream has changed my life. Why? Because it freaking does what it’s supposed to. The Midnight Recovery Eye Cream works to depuff my tragically tormented eyes that are a result of 12 years of wearing contact lenses. Always so sore and puffy but NO MORE I tell you.

I was just walking home when all of a sudden this Kiehl’s boutique came out of no where and hit me in the face and you know what, I figured it’s only $38 why not? Best decision ever. It’s packed full of essential oils and botanicals, depuffs and brightens (I used to really suffer with dark circles but not so much now thanks to this) and the cherry on top? It smells incredible.

{I’m not ashamed of samples}

Okay in all honesty I really am ashamed of samples. They have no place in my home they just make for more mess and I would just rather buy the full size version – happens all the time. However, this was sizeable enough to get many nights of it so I thought, meh, do it. I did it and I loved it. As you all know I couldn’t swear by Biotherm any more than I do. I use their toners, moisturizers, face washes. Er-ting. I use to have ugly, unbalanced skin with tons of pimples and scarring but this miracle line just quenched my skin with everything it needed.

The jelly/serum formula feels so silky and the product is swelling Mannose (a sugar ingredient that’ll reinforce your skin’s barrier and help it retain moisture, Thermal Plankton Cellular Water and P. Antarctica, a micro-organism that’ll grab hold of that moisture and keep it deeper in there!

{Just like my mama did it}

Growing up I would always look at my Mum’s beauty products and want to use them but she said I was too young. Now I’m not so young and Estee’s Advanced Night Repair is taking it’s place on the beauty shelves. It’s there for days when my skin feels extra shitty. Whether it’s too dry, too sore, too scarred, this serum will fix the problem. I know it’s mean’t for fine lines and really spotlights as anti-aging skincare product, but I just can’t help but feel like my skin looks so rejuvenated in the morning when I use this.

    Great post idea! Im in the market for a good eye cream and this one will go on my research list! Im tired of skincare that doesn’t do what it says! The only skincare moisturizer that I really feel love for is CeraVe. CeraVe is my homeboy! But as far as antiaging products, I’ve yet to find HG items. Thanks for the fun post!
