Dior: Out of the comfort zone and in with the Birds of Paradise

“I’ll never wear blue eyeshadow.” – I seem to make a habit of saying things I’ll never do and then just doing them anyway. When I received the Dior Summer collection it was one of those moments of make up revelation. I will and I must wear these shadows. Enter – the aquatic eye look.

The collection boasts the new Bronzer Blusher Duos ($56), Dior Addict Lipstick($31 – Pasionee featured here), a gorgeous Aqua Green Eyeliner ($28.50), Lip Jelly Pencils($28 – Carioca featured here) and two stunning palettes. Blue Lagoon ($60) makes me a feel like a mermaid and I love it.  Totally reminds me of Peter Pan.

How incredibly pigmented are these stunning shadows? I used the sponge applicators to apply these gorgeous shades. Is that ghetto of me?

Major eyeshadow eye candy. If you’re going to by one piece from this collection I’d be strongly inclined to recommend this stunner. Use the shadows together for an intricate eye makeup look or alone as a bold eyeliner.

Actually scrap that if you’re going to buy one then it’s got to be this blissful creation. The bronzer is fairly standard but the blush is definitely something to write home about. It’s bold, it’s brightening and it’s CORAL.

Umm, wow! You look good. I guess you can’t knock it until you try it. I think blue shades used to be considered a little tacky (??) but now a lot of brands are managing to make them look really sophisticated and modern. I guess it helps that that incredible palette has a range of shades.

Thanks Georgie! I used to think the same thing. Found blues to look so dated but this palette is really beautiful!
