Getting Nude: Maybelline Color Sensational – The Buffs

{Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs}

I’m not one to rant and rave and review an entire collection of products without a particular story in mind but this lipstick collection just had to take centre stage. Despite my intitial hesitations about the nude collection to precede, I’m so impressed…

You know me. I hate nudes.  I very rarely wear nudes cuz I’m a bold girl all the way but since I’ve started making more effort with eye shadow, I’ve been becoming more accepting.

Then the Maybelline Buffs collection happened and I’m all over it.

{High pigment creams}

A collection of high-pigment, caramel, vanilla and berry, creamy lipsticks that offer the second edition to last year’s Colour Sensational Vivids. If you’ve followed the blog since then you’ll know I was so mad about those lipsticks I wore them all through Fashion Week…

While I do love all of these colours I obviously can’t pull them all off – I’d rather not look washed out. The nudes offer a range of colours to suit a variety of skin tones and for my olive (okay now grey/yellow) complexion I prefer the caramel/berry tones.

    Good lawd, the favorites look stunning on you! Stormy Sahara is calling my name. I have Untainted Spice and it’s a 90’s throwback love moment every time I swipe it on. ❤❤❤

    “Blushing Biege” is my favourite for sure. May have to pick up a few more of these as I see more swatches online. Only thing is, people keep trying them out in the store (other than the testers) and there aren’t many of the same shade available. These are permanent I believe though, which is awesome.

    I’ve gotta vouch for these. I’ve always been a fan of nudes but always had trouble finding shades that work with my tan skintone. I find a lot of these work well on me. My favorite is Stormy Sahara.

    I’ve been needing a new nude lipstick and on a budget too, so I’ll definitely be checking these out next time I stop by the drugstore! I love finding great products that are also budget-friendly 🙂 Thanks for the review!

    I am always so afraid of lip colour, going only so far as using chubby stick from Clinique but I think I will give one of these a go!
