I love beauty, I really do. But despite what you may think there are some days I curse it. Those days are usually a result of waking with a rash on my skin that makes it unbearable to face the day. Pun intended!
Trying so many different products makes me prone to this terror though through my mishaps comes a concoction of products that have finally helped my skin clear up within a couple of days.
What really prompted me to do this was my reaction I had to a combination of meds I was taking after having my wisdom teeth out. I woke with bumps all over my face and quickly got rid of them for a TV segment that was two days later. THIS WORKS.

Disclaimer: Let me preface by saying this worked for ME and has worked for a few girlfriends of mine. If this doesn’t work for you, please don’t scold me! Let’s continue…
1. The gentle cleanser
These wipes were my first true experience of the Bioderma line and I can’t say I’m disappointed. You all know how obsessed I am with my Philosophy Purity Wipes but since trying this pack of Bioderma Sensibio H20 sensitive skin wipes after a horrible breakout, they’ve found a place in my beauty routine. After my usual wipes and cleansers felt too harsh on my sensitive and newly rough skin, these wipes gently removed my makeup without stinging.
2. The soothing toner
Alcohol based toners and anything that’s fragranced does nothing but further tighten my skin when it’s in a fragile state. This Caudalie Grape Water soothes my skin with a cooling effect. Bonus points for the fact that it’s a gentle mist in it’s application.
3. The MAGIC ingredient
THIS is the be all and end all when it comes to calming down the red bumps that have consumed my face. Introduced to me as a miracle medicine by Jessica of Beautezine, she too found it cleared up her skin from a bad reaction to a beauty product. Glam Glow’s Supermus Clearing Treatment is a clay that treats the skin to clear out impurities — yes, it totally has immediate effects but within two or three days the rash is gone too!
4. The all nighter and the lip lover
To avoid further stripping my skin, I pass on using my regular skin-peeling products overnight and opt for Caudalie’s Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil on my skin and Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream for my lips (cuticles and nose when I have a cold).
