In the bag: my TIFF 2014 Beauty Essentials

TIFF essentials

{My TIFF beauty essentials}

Let’s be real, I’m not attending star-studded party after party but since the Toronto International Film Festival began I have found the need to use a few extra beauty pieces. A few that I happened to fall in love with were unexpected romances so I had share them with you, naturally.

my burberry fragrance

{The fragrance}

Part of me loves this fragrance because of this video. I can’t help but swoon over Cara Delevigne and well her AND Kate Moss? Enough to make me move home and make a (better) British woman of me. But really, inspired by the classic Burberry trench (I do plan to own one SOME day just so I can be naked underneath it) the bottle is classic and luxurious — vanity worthy. The scent? A heavy floral reminiscent of a London garden after rain. Which, might I add is not hard to come by back home.

{Lips and tips}

Naturally TIFF called for a lip wardrobe that would suffice an impromtu invite so my bag is stocked with a bold and nude option. Stila’s new Stay All Day Lipgloss in Vinyl Merlot offers a glossy oxblood that’s rich in pigment. Hi-shine fall shades are the new matte.

My nude option was fitting since I was invited by L’Oreal to listen to Julianne Moore speak on the new Fiberology hair care at the ShangriLa Hotel – Julianne’s Nude from the Color Riche Collection Exclusive is a warm enough, neutral pink. I’ve been reaching for it for a few weeks now, particularly since the texture is luxurious and silky with enough pigment to make a difference.

Already on my tips is the new Essie fall collection – my choice of shade? The red-carpet appropriate Dress to Kilt. A beautiful raspberry red.

fresh honey mask and simple cleansing wipes

{Wind down with Simple and Fresh}

Winding down at the end of the night I’d refresh and restore my skin with some deep cleaning and hydrating. Taking it all off with Simple’s Sensitive Skin Facial wipes – my favourite drugstore wipes to date. To calm, brighten and rehydrate my skin I’d layer on Fresh’s Creme Ancienne Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask. A luxurious and delicious face mask to boost tired skin.

pocket pharmacy saje

{Saje – Pocket Pharmacy ($49.95)}

I underestimated this little purse-friendly kit when I first saw it but my goodness am I head over heels. Canadian health and wellness brand, Saje have bottled up their essential oils that promote healing and relaxing properties. After long days my head would be killing me or I’d have a lot on my mind – there’s something about the scent of these concoctions that just made everything better.
