New beauty obsession: NudeStix

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with founders of the brand, NudeStix to hear their story behind why this beauty revolution was set to be a part of ever woman’s make up bag. Sure, we love our luxurious palettes and bullets of bright and bold colour — but some most days we just want to look, simply pretty.

The faces and inspiration of the brand are sisters Taylor and Ally while, mum, Jenny is the brains behind the beauty brand. Gearing the beauty concept towards the millennial gal, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a hit with busy business women and mums alike. The concept? Crayola for grown ups. Pencils of neutral, beauty enhancing shades. These pencils are made for the girl in a rush who loves natural, imperfect make up application. Messy make up is back in away 😉

These are awesome products for eye shadow rookies. You’ll have so much more control on where the colour goes but be sure to blend with your fingers quickly after application — once it dries it’s set for a few hours. If like me you have sweaty lids, apply a primer like Stay Don’t Stray to avoid creasing. The colours these babies come in are gorgeous.

I adore how creamy and pigmented the lip pencils are, the formula is really unlike anything I’ve played with before and they lend themselves well to being a lipstick and a blush.

{To the point packaging}

I’ll be honest, the price point is a little steep. $29CDN/£24GBP per pencil but they do last a while (don’t wear down as fast as my Nars satin lip pencils do) and they each come in a compact tin with a built in mirror (STORAGE). I can fit 6 pencils (or a combo of pencils, highlighters, mascara) in to one tin so PERFECT for my gym bag. Sooo ideal. I’ll definitely be re-stocking on a couple of staple shades when I’ve shaved them down to nothing.

What do you think of this concept? Have you tried NudeStix?

    I’m very intrigued by this concept and obviously, Mystic needs to be a part of my 2015! 🙂 Beauts holiday look, doll! You have the lashes I would trade for, lol!
