See the Marrakech Sunset this Summer with YSL

{Yves Saint Laurent – Summer 2013 Collection}

The new YSL Summer 2013 collection is close to my heart. Okay well all makeup is close to my heart but this collection especially so because the colours and theme are based around Marrakech – a vibrant and beautiful city in my home country, Morocco. Check out the pictures that I took below when visiting the The Majorelle Garden, which was once owned by Saint Laurent himself. Notice how the colours in the collection closely resemble the shades found in the garden? Gorgeous hues of brown, pink and beige with a pop of a vibrant, royal, purply-blue…

{Yves Saint Laurent Marrakesh Sunset Eye Collector Palette – $79}

{Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in Nº 31 Corail Alla Prima}

{Saint Laurent Garden}

Don’t you love that the same hues seen in the collector’s eye palette can be seen here in the YSL gardens in Marrakech? It’s no wonder Saint Laurent found serenity in this botanical haven that houses an abundance of wildlife and plantlife.

{Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks – new and permanent!}

{Moroccan Hotel Eldorador Palmeraie}

When my love and I went to Marrakesh we stayed in my best friend’s family owned hotel. It’s such an incredible resort and the interior of the hotel just embodies Moroccan interior design. It’s lavish and luxurious and I love how YSL have used golden/pink tones like these in their palette.

{Rouge Volpute in Nude in Private – $39}

I absolutely adore the new Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks that YSL have recently released and you can rest assured that they’re permanent! This particular shade will go perfectly with the rest of Summer 2013 collection and if you love it like I do as a basic pinky-nude then you’ll keep stocking up once it’s done…

{Yves Saint Laurent Terre Saharienne Bronzing Powder in Nº 20 Terre Saharienne – $60}

I have to say that this is one of those matte bronzer’s that’s totally worth the splurge. I recently paid roughly the same price point for a Dior one so I don’t think this is too dear given the quality of the product. I’ll show you it looks later on in the week but it’s such a stunning pink/bronze – unlike anything I’ve tried before!

{Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pure Couture Golden Lustre Lipstick in Nº 114 Rose de Saba – $39}

The lipstick for this collection is another unusual shade – a blend of pink and purple tones that marry the whole collection well. The formula of this lippie is one of my favourites – have you seen the #1 shade, Le Rouge? It’s the perfect red.

Stay tuned for a look that I’ll do this week using this collection!
