Some 2014 TBB beauty favourites

Really, truly, honestly. I couldn’t possibly try to write up all the beauty products that were my favourite this year, especially when it comes to skincare. SO I’ll make an effort to film a video (!) on my favourites before the quarter ends.

In the mean time click to “read more” and check out the slide show of the products I’ve loved all year round.

Best Foundation: Yves Saint Laurent – Youth Liberator Serum Foundation

I’ve been receiving compliments on a glowing complexion all year round and it’s all thanks to this baby. A foundation with skincare benefits that works to correct the skin while offering dewy, medium coverage. I adore this foundation.

Best Powder: Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder in #3

This translucent powder is the most natural finish of a setting powder that I’ve tried to date. Very similar to the Chanel loose powder it’s silky and light. I save using this sexy number for special occasions to set my look. P.S. I believe it is out this Spring in Canada!

Best cream blush: Nars Matte Multiple in Siam

This cream to powder blush packs a LOT of punch. Just a lit tap of my brush to the product is enough to cover both cheeks. The shade is a bright, slightly orange toned red that looks stunning on the lips and cheeks. It’s a showstopper alright.

Best powder blush: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion

OKAY @ssssamanthaa yes, you told me so. My babe of a friend told me I’d love this blush but I was dead certain it wouldn’t show up on my skin tone. Boy was a wrong. This radiant sweep of soft coral looks gorgeous on fair and deeper tones alike. I especially love the baked formula of these blushes for their “blush from within” finish.

Best Lip balm: Dior Addict Lip Glow in Coral

Silky, soft balm that enhances your natural lip colour with a natural tint. Featuring mango butter for delicious moisture and SPF 10 to protect your lips against premature aging. Perfect!

Best Lipstick: Chanel Rouge Allure Lip Velvet

This is still my favourite lipstick and for a number of reasons. Long-wearing, creamy matte, STUNNING colours and I love the “Mercedes click”, pop-up packaging. Everything about this product feels luxe and I adore it so much I barely want to use it just to save it’s beauty.

Best Eyeshadow Palette: Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette

A new addition to my beauty collection but already a firm favourite. The Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette by Too Faced offers 16 matte and shimmer shades of caramel, vanilla chocolate and more. The formula of the shadows are silky and powdery and blend so well.

Best Fragrance: Elizabeth and James Nirvana White

You guys, this was a tough one. I couldn’t decide between this and and Philosophy’s Amazing Grace but I ended up choosing Nirvana White for the reason that it’s clean and sexy — Amazing Grace is clean and feminine. If you’re looking for a day-to-day fragrance Amazing Grace is it. If you want something extra special then Nirvana White is the way. I especially love that they released an oil version this year. SWOON.
