Summer skincare: tested in three States

I’ve spent the last two weeks in the cold, on an island and in the desert. To say my skin has had a change of climate is an understatement. From the dry cold in Toronto to the moist heat in Honolulu, I had my fair share of changes in a short amount of time. Naturally, my skincare had to change too.

My apparent addiction to the Biotherm skincare line is continuing with their answer to my summer skincare. Tried and tested in Ontario, Phoenix and Hawaii, this dynamic duo kept my skin in check.

The Skin-ergetic day and night creams are packed with fruit and vegetable fractions and reduce the skins of fatigue whilst hydrating and plumping the skin throughout the day.

I often find that under intense heat, my skin can become quite oily, despite how dry it becomes in c0ld weather. What I loved most about these moisturizers is that they kept up with the high-demanding activities I’ve been doing, keeping my skin hydrated and oil-free all day long. From hiking up volcanoes to riding horses, my skin was bright and moisturized no matter the weather.

The only downfall with this line is it’s lack of sun-protection. If you’re looking to keep your skin wrinkle free for as long as possible, SPF 30 is required at the absolute minimum. Throughout my travels I was sure to use my new favourite cover-up, NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer that works like a BB cream to keep your skin clear and protected.
