{Philosophy Shampoo, Shower gel and Bubble Bath – Sweet Fluffy Cupcake}
It may sound cliched but cupcakes are what got me in to my undying love for baking sweet treats. I didn’t start with a mediocre fairy cake with pink, runny icing on top. Oh no. I started my baking obsession with the Hummingbird Bakery cupcakes from London, England.
I visited the bakery once and got two things (yes it was that good), ever since then I haven’t been able to go back and so of course I jumped at the chance to buy the cookbook to make their yummies at home. I pre-ordered that gold.
{No cupcakes were harmed in the shooting of this post}
The first ones I made were the red velvet (one of the first I tried). My family were in heaven, I could have eaten the dozen and well, I was already planning my execution plan for the classic vanilla cupcakes. I adore cupcakes.
So naturally, I had to adore this product. Bathing in cupcakes couldn’t sound anymore perfect if it tried, right?
This was my oh-so close second to the spiced gingerbread cookie and the only reason it didn’t win was because the gingerbread smelled like caramel and well…
The Philosophy Cupcake:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
4 egg whites
4oz cream cheese
Directions: combine all ingredients except egg whites and blend on high until fluffy. Fill paper-lined cupcake pans, 2/3 full.Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans, frost and decorate as desired…I’m thinking with caramel, cream cheese icing…

Cupcakes, YUM! Red Velvet are my favourite.
I love Starbucks Peppermint mochas! They are Christmas to me – even though I cheated and had one before Dec. 1st.
