{Dior Golden Snow Beauty look – Christmas 2013}

Sooo, if you’ve been following me on instagram you’ll notice that I’ve finally started taking more time to play around with eye shadow in my beauty looks. I’ll be honest, I’ve bee lazy and I wasn’t quite sure how to apply to my hooded lids. Thanks to my girls Jessica and Stacey I think I’ve learnt how to deal with odd eyes.

{Star of the show: 664 – Golden Snow – Eye Shadow Palette}

Not that I’m prone to getting excited over a shadow palette this particular one did make me squeal a little. The hues of warm pink, grey/black, sparkling white and true, glittery gold are the perfect combo for a feminine and festive beauty look.

{Using the deep charcoal shade over the pale pink sheen on the eyes}

Playing around with the Limited Edition, Golden Snow palette I used the darker blue/black shade over the satin pale pink. It’s dramatic but I love the depth of the eye shadow for a special event. What do you think?

{Glitter and gold}

For a recent pot luck Party I mixed a bronze Chanel shade with the intense gold from the Dior palette. SUPER gorgeous eye shadow to wear to a party – I recommend using it wet so the glitter sticks to the lid properly.

Feelin’ fancy applying this satin, raspberry shade in a golden case.

{Diorific Holiday Nail polish in Minuit and Frimas}

How gorgeous are these nail polish bottles? A deep burgundy and pale grey/pink (like the shade in the eye shadow palette!) both with delicate flecks of gold stirred in to the formula.

Lancome holiday look 2013

Lancome holiday look 2013

{Easy and quick Christmas beauty}

I know what you’re thinking, ‘ Does she ever tire of red lipstick?’, kinda not. I promise there are alternative looks coming up on TBB but I just had to show off this gorgeous collection from Lancome’s 2013 offering. Here I’m wearing the (Fall) Blush Rose Desir with swirls of Rose Étincelle highlighter over top. Lancome’s Hypnose Mascara on the lashes and the L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Caprice.

{Favourite pieces of Lancome’s latest collections}

In the craziness that has been the last few weeks I’ve been playing around with a few pieces of the Lancome Fall and Christmas collection from recent releases. Still available on the US site, The L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Caprice is the creamiest, brightest red you’ll find in a lippie. It was part of the Fall collection but the closest match for a permanent option would be the shade Saffron Silk.

rose Étincelle

My favourite part of Holiday 2013 by Lancome, Rose Étincelle Highlighter is a pink-hued frosting for the tops of your cheeks. I used a fan brush to sweep this over my cheeks and brow bone. The result? sparkling without a glittery look – it catches the light perfectly. This is easily a product you’d use all year around.

{Étincelle de Neige}

Next to the Rose Étincelle Highlighter, the Étincelle de Neige Vernis in Love nail polish is impressive in it’s own right. I haven’t been able to swatch it because I’m wearing Essie Gel this week  but check out the stunning swatch on Maggie’s Makeup Blog! Really does look like snow on the fingertips.

{L’Oreal Privee Collection – Eva Longoria}

Living in Toronto during TIFF is something to write home about, especially knowing Zac Efron and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are in town. Some one needs to put those hotties on lock down for me — I digress. The next best thing that excited me like madness was the fact that L’Oreal released a ‘Privee’ collection of nail polishes and lippies for the special occasion. Oh so luxe black, matte packaging and slimline jars of polish, beautiful beauty without the price tag.

The collection sports nude lippies that are fit for the corresponding star’s skin tone — whilst I personally wouldn’t rock Doutzen’s pale pink choice I’d say the muted nudes showcased by Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto and Jennifer Lopez would work beautifully on any one.

{The ultimate autumn shade – red is in – the runways said so}

My favourite of all the polish shades has to be Eva’s polish choice (closely followed by JLO’s pale, grey shade). This deep, reddish brown is my favourite into-to-fall shade and I can’t stop lacquering my tips with it. The best part? The formula is pretty amazing. A glossy finish that doesn’t need a top coat. Oh and these fabulous, limited edition shades are only $3.99. Bargainous!

{Glossy and rich}

Want to check out the full collection? Head down to the L’Oreal activation happening at David Pecaut Square in Toronto. Or you can just stop by your local Shoppers…

{The Coats}

When YSL’s Premiere Neige polish came out last Christmas I was all over that stuff like a pritt-stick to paper. How could a top coat, something so simple, be so beautiful. Imparting a gorgeous layer of gloss and tiny sparkle barely noticeable to the naked eye. I know what you’re thinking. “Why would I spend $27 on a top coat polish?” Well, frankly, read on…
