The Luxury List: Coral Edition

{The Luxury Coral List}

A year doesn’t pass without an unhealthy number of coral lipsticks entering my lipstick collection. The moment the sun comes out (as well as the spring/summer beauty collections) so does my wallet. I do make a point of pulling together my coral lippies from last year to make sure I’m going for something different every time but let’s be real, who cares if it’s gorgeous! Check out the luxury corals that are in my bag this season…

{Bolder and brighter with YSL – $36}

The  YSL glossy stains are the kinda lipsticks that make people stop in their tracks to ask what you’re wearing. Leaving you with smooth, highly pigmented lips the Coril Fauve is an intensely bold, reddish coral shade. With a few layers you can get opaque colour but it still feels like silk.

The more layers the better with this one! Just be sure to let it dry in between applications.

{Brightly beautiful – Chanel}

Next up is the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Favorite. Despite numerous people declaring that I shouldn’t add this to my already collossal library of coral lipsticks, La Favorite is a dream come coral true.

{La Favourite by Chanel – Spring 2013}

The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lip formulas are one of my favourites – a matte finish with a smooth touch.

{Givenchy – Blooming Peach}

Sorry to break your hearts but this Barbie-like beauty was a limited from 2010 but was recently given to me by the lovely PR team who knew I was crazy about this shade. The colour lives in the Rouge Interdit Satin formula and it’s the kinda shade that looks so pretty with a tan.

Any coral that lies on the lighter side with a heavier hue of pink will give you the same look. The closest dupe I’ve seen is Indian Pink by NYX.

{Givenchy, Le Rouge in Magnolia Organza – $38}

Now I know this leans more towards fuchsia pink than coral but the blend of red adds coral hues. This is for those of you with darker skin tones that wan’t to wear coral lips without looking like Nicki Minaj.

{Le Rouge – Magnolia Organza}

I adore the formula of this lipstick as it’s matte but silky (more so than the Chanel lipstick above) and again, has a killer, colourful finish. Of all the new lipstick formulas released so far this year, this is by far the best one.

Do you have a favourite coral that you want glued to your lips this spring?

    I have a habit of over indulging in coral lipsticks too since there are always those differences we can spot 😛 Out of all of those, I really like the YSL one.. Luscious pigmentation and really pretty!
