Time to glow up

{REN Radiance products}

The hot pumpkin spiced lattes, the scarves and mittens, the Christmas songs in Starbucks. All things we know and love that come with the winter season. I couldn’t be happier to see the back of summer to welcome my favourite time of year but my skin doesn’t agree. Details will be spared but I’m certain I’m not the only one suffering from the annual tight smiles of the dry and dulling cold.

And then there was bright! Or the equally best thing, radiance.

A self-confessed addict to this new, and (god save our gracious Queen) British brand, REN has followed me from the home land. Arriving just a couple of months after me I’m happy to say that we have finally been reunited. The skin-care brand prides itself in being free of parabens, silicones, sulfates and just about any combo of scientific acronym you can imagine.

Radiance, Micro-Polish cleanser is possibly the best exfoliator I’ve used to date and sits way above any other, along with Dermalogica’s iconic Daily Microfoliant. My skin is noticeably different immediately after I use this product, and as an impatient soul it’s become something I can’t live without. Having a smooth, clean and radiant base makes a world of difference when my make-up is on, especially in the winter. With such visible results and a great product ethos, this brand makes me feel good about myself in more ways than one.

It’s no surprise that the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (mouthful) has won awards. If anything is going to make you feel like you walked out of a Swedish spa 10 years ago, it’s this product. Looking tired, cold and dehydrated is temporarily disguised with this mask and I have to admit that I love its goopy, ‘I just want to play with you’ texture.

REN is available to Brits at Space NK, Selfridges and Liberty.

Canadians can finally find this brand in Sephora stores.
