Hey YA’LL (that phrase is on the mind – currently sat in Paris with a few Texans). I’ve been meaning to put up this post for a while simply because I found a groove in my daily make up bag that works so well – thought I’d share in case you love it too. Nothing super fancy or creative just my standard I’m-in-a-rush-to-work type thing that’s either a nude lip look or red lip look.
What’s in the bag:
- Yves Saint Laurent Youth Liberator Foundation*
- Lancome Grandiose Liner
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
- Chanel Long Lasting Concealer
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
- Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric Bronzer
- Nars Orgasm Blush
- Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter
- Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell
- Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red
*Forgot my foundation at home…devastated. Also note to this – It’s getting discontinued soon 🙁
The nude look: what obviously makes this look is the Huda Beauty Liquid matte in Bombshell. This is just such a flattering shade for any skin tone and oozes Bridget Bardot. Iconic beauty inspo right there. When you wear a black, subtle wing liner with this lipstick it really does have that sixties beauty feel.
These are the products you’ll need to get an eye opening look. The Chanel concealer packs a LOT of pigment and brightens up my ghastly dark circles (which for some reason are especially bad this weekend. Boooo.)
This Lancome eyeliner is THE ONE. The easy-to-use felt applicator allows for a glide of black liquid and the mechanic of the product allows the stick to bend for when you want to do your wing. It’s foolproof. Tip on using this – shake it quite a bit to feed the product to the tip.
The red lip look: are you bored of this yet? I know I always wear this but it’s such an impactful and easy to-do look. I’m just always short on time people so don’t judge my simplicity!
Same base and eye but this time Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red makes an appearance. The formula is rich and smooth and I love that it’s doesn’t crack. Only downfall about these is that you have to sharpen them which is far too much effort right?
Finally the Nars Orgasm blush is so fab as it goes with both the nude and red lip. It really brightens up the red lip – one of my favourite blushes of all time to rock with this shade.
Final note on the Huda lipsticks: I’m OBSESSED. Going to grab more at Sephora tomorrow as they’re possibly the best liquid matte formula I’ve tried (know of any better?). Mad pigment, long wearing, non-drying and doesn’t really transfer. Everything I need in a lippie!
